RESIST

Resist.

By Richard Boyd

To counteract or overwhelmingly defeat, to withstand the destructive force.

We seem to experience a life of full-time resistance, whether we recognize it or not, we are usually resisting something. As we typically carry out our daily tasks, we must continually decide to steadfastly resist something. And this could mean an excellent thing or a destructive thing.

The Bible is very specific as to what we are to resit and offers a guide as to how we can resist that which is harmful. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Steadfastly resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

By respectfully submitting to God first we can resist the most significant hindrance in our life. Resisting the Devil is the utmost fulfillment if we desire to overcome evil assignments against us. Make no mistakes, everyday Satans wicked schemes are being plotted to intentionally make us fail.

That is why the more we connect to God and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, the more we will be effective in recognizing and intercepting the works of darkness. It is no small thing when we are being attacked by evil, that is why we must counteract such attacks, to be victorious.

Is this a pleasant thing? My response correctly is, is there anything that does not come with a price, and victory calls for a fight? The horse is made ready for a day of battle... The victory belongs to the Lord.

Proverbs 21:31

Whenever we find ourselves up against such forces, we must rigorously apply God's word in faith to withstand. We diligently prepare and make ourselves ready, but ultimately it is God (YHVH) who graciously gives us the victory.
