A couple of weeks ago I came upon a dirty and worn-out sneaker. In my mind, I wondered what it would be like to make this sneaker look new again?
I subsequently decided to step up to the challenge and see if I could take this dirty used sneaker and restore it?
After some research on sneaker restoration, I discovered that a well-made sneaker was much easier to restore than just any brand. I then began to realize that God made us in His image, according to His likeness. Although it is said that humans are worthless and wretched, we were designed adequately by YHVH (GOD). Despite the error in a man's heart, he still possesses the ability to be restored.
Yeshua (Jesus) became the man who proved that God never produces junk. There are many out there who have fallen into a state of despair, yet they possess the chance of being restored. Yeshua set the example of how God employed Him to utilize the worst person and restore their rightful purpose to them.
I must admit I enjoyed the hour I devoted cleaning and tweaking that dirty pair of sneakers, in the end, it came out like new. The same goes for YHVH. He enjoys restoring us to our original intent, regardless of how dirty we might be, God is ready to restore us anew.
