The story is told of a young man who worked at a small-town grocery store, this was during the time of very little technology as we know it today.
Every week on the same day, an old man would enter the store to buy groceries. He was hunched over and frail walking to each section choosing only a few items.
The young man offered assistance to the old man and walked him to his car each week. One day the old man fell while stepping into his car, his bag of groceries was scattered everywhere. While others stood and observed, the young man helped the old man into his car and upon the approval of his boss drove him home.
Once in the old man's home, the young man proceeded to clean the cuts and scrapes on the old man's face and made sure he was comfortable. When he returned to the store one of his fellow workers inquired why he made it a point to assist the old man.of
His reply was, he regarded him as if he was his father.

A few weeks passed and the young man had noticed the old man did not come to the store as usual. After leaving work that day he drove by the old man's house. Unable to enter the house or obtain a response, he returned to work, praying for the old man.
Another week went by and no visitation by the old man, the young man made more attempts to check to see the old man. But still, no response and neither was he able to receive any help from the neighbors.
One morning while sweeping the floors of the store, a well-dressed man entered. He approached the young man and identified himself as the old man's lawyer. He explained that night after the young man had helped him home, he passed in his sleep.
Sadden the young man began to grieve as the lawyer went on to explain, that the old man had no family and lived most of his life by himself. He requested that the young man come to his office the next day, due to a legal matter involving the old man.
The next day the young man sorrowful but curious went to the lawyer's office. The lawyer explained the old man had no family and for most of his life he lived alone. The lawyer went on to say that he handles all the business and legal matters for the old man. Next, the lawyer handed a check to the young man, explaining that the old man wrote a will. In the will he stated the young man should receive all his inheritance.
The young man was shocked and promptly asked the lawyer how the old man was able to write a will so fast. How did the old man arrange this the same night he passed?
